About Science on a Sphere: In the fall of 2019, MCC debuted the permanent exhibit Science On a Sphere at MCC North Express. The installation of the Science On a Sphere exhibit is the first permanent exhibit of its kind in Nebraska and features breathtaking visualizations of earth and space. In collaboration with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, MCC has developed a multitude of informative and engaging SOS programs that appeal to community and school audiences. The visually stunning display engages students by showing datasets, which seem like educational “movies” starring science textbook topics. Science on a Sphere comes preloaded with over 500 datasets ranging in length and in complexity across dozens of topics. All day February 22, 2020 1110 S 67th St, Omaha, NE 68182, USA  The Nebraska Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers will host its annual Truss Bustin’ competition at the Peter Kiewit Institute in Omaha on Saturday, February 22nd. The competition is intended to educate students on the engineering design process, and provide a hands-on approach to learning the basics of structural design.
