Children need exposure with diverse cultures and experiences that expand on their knowledge of themselves and the world around them, including, but not limited to, people of color, gender diversity, LGBTQIA+, Native, people with disabilities, and ethnic, cultural, and religious minorities. Literature is one way for children to imagine life outside of themselves.
This event targets early childhood and elementary educators, Child Care Center Directors and administrators, and community partners.
