Join Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium and NE Project Wild to explore Nebraska predators.  From Mountain lions to insects, to reptiles, we will investigate conservation efforts, food chains, owl pellets, predators/prey relationships and much more.  As well as activities and resources to supplement what you are already doing in your classroom.  This workshop is targeted at 2nd – 6th grade formal teachers.

DLR Group will host a group of 20-25 girls, aged 14-18 on June 20^th as part of the Urban League of Omaha’s Summer STEAM Academy. The girls will be at DLR Group’s Omaha office from 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM, during which time they will engage with female engineers and architects as they tour the office and participate in interactive A/E activities.

Biomechanics Zoo Camp “Walk With the Animals”, is a two day camp, June 22-June 23, for students aged  8yrs. -11yrs. This collaboration between UNO Department of Biomechanics and Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium, allows campers to work in the Biomechanics Research Building and also go to the zoo to investigate how animals and humans move!

Luna Mission  

Let’s take a closer look at the brightest and largest object in our night sky, The Moon.  The Omaha Astronomical Society will guide us on a Lunar Mission as we discover its mountains, plains and craters.  We’ll orbit through engaging and hands-on activities that include moon walking, building a lunar lander and tasting astronaut ice cream.
