“Sunday with a Scientist – Sunday with LPS Junior Scientists”

Shudipto Dishari (center), assistant professor of chemical and biomolecular engineering at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, will present "The Magic of Chemistry" Oct. 21 at Morrill Hall.

This special edition of Sunday with a Scientist includes free admission for all visitors.

Middle and elementary school students from Lincoln Public Schools will present their own hands-on activities to museum visitors. The activities will focus on organisms and their environments. Mentored by University of Nebraska-Lincoln undergraduate and graduate students in the Communicating Science Through Outreach course, the LPS students have been hard at work during the fall semester researching and developing activities as part of a CLC club.

    The Omaha Kennedy Elementary STEAM Team would like to invite you (and/or your organization) to be apart of our STEAM family night! STEAM Night is a fun, community event that highlights careers, real-world examples, and community organization that use Science, Technology, Engineering, Art (language, visual and performing), and Mathematics. In past years, groups have brought a small display with information and/or an interactive display to connect, educate and show-off their organization. This event is scheduled for Thursday, April 18, 2019 from 5:30 - 7:00pm. It's a great event and popular with students, families and community.
