Omaha STEM Ecosystems and UNO would like to invite classroom teachers, pre-service teachers and administrators to a fun and engaging workshop focusing on incorporating engaging games into the Math curriculum. Don’t miss put on this opportunity! Learn how to incorporate combinatorial games into your classroom to promote an inquiry-based learning environment and students’ problem solving skills. This event is free and will be held at the Barabara Weitz Community Center at UNO.     In this workshop, we will dissect the new Nebraska College and Career Ready Standards for Science (CCR-Science) adopted in September of 2017.  Specifically, we will focus on Nebraska Connections included in the standards, which aim to provide educators with relevant topics within our state to explore with students.  Using several Nebraska Connections, participants will engage in interactive lessons at Wildlife Safari Park.

    Join us for one day or both!  On day 1, we will be exploring Nebraska Connections in the life science standards.  On day 2, we will be exploring earth science connections to Nebraska.

    $20 (includes lunch)
