Nature’s engineers are hard at work again, creating structures of amazing complexity! From Robin’s nest to Beaver’s dam, the amazing creations of nature are all around the forest. Campers will learn to create their own shelters with nature as their guide! This camp is for ages 6-8 and will last from July 15- July 19 from 8:30am-3:00pm.

    Use your imagination to build unique creations! This event is open ended, various building materials (Legos, marble runs, Tinker Toys, snap circuits, magnetic tiles, etc.) will be set out, and kids may choose how they want to play.     Come visit the Biomechanics Research Building at UNO to explore how mathematics helps scientists understand how the human body moves!  Biomechanics is the study of the forces that act on the body and the effects they produce.  At this event you will get to tour our state of the art research laboratories that explore human movement, virtual reality, prosthetic design, machining and prototyping, and animal movement. The event is on September 17th from 4:30pm - 6:30pm.

    Kite enthusiast Randy Fox will be here to teach us about the history and impact of kite flying.  Then we will construct our own kites by upcycling waste materials.
