Annual Alice Buffett Science and Engineering Fair

January 19, 2018, Friday

Alice Buffet Middle School is looking for volunteers to help judge at the  Science and Engineering Fair.

This is an excellent opportunity for pre-service science teachers, professors, graduate students or curriculum specialists to see kids in action and talk to them about their plan for the future!

Nebraska Science Olympiad

Science Olympiad is an American team competition in which students compete in ‘events’ pertaining to various scientific disciplines, including earth science, biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering. Over 7,300 middle school and high school teams from 50 U.S. states compete each year,. U.S. territories do not compete. There are multiple levels of competition: invitational, regional, state, and national.

The Nebraska Science Festival

April 19 – 25, 2018

The NE Science Festival may be months away, but organizers are encouraging teachers and volunteers to register now.

In addition to student expos, the sixth annual Science Festival will feature an array of science and technology related activities in communities across the state.
