Making Connections in Our STEM Community

Internship Panel Discussion

Thank you to everyone that attended the Omaha STEM Ecosystem’s 2nd Virtual Roundtable Series – Building a Thriving STEM Community. This session was focused on the role that business and education play in providing internships to build our workforce. Levi Thiele, Director of Career Development at University of Nebraska Omaha, opened with a presentation on the new internship page on the STEM Community Platform and Jim Collison, Gallup, moderated a business and education panel discussion around their needs and best practice internship models. There were 69 registrations among 25 different business, K-12/universities, nonprofits and community organizations. We are looking forward to diving deeper into this discussion of building a thriving STEM community in our final Virtual Roundtable Discussion, October 28, 2021. Through the generosity of our sponsors, this event will be offered with no fees: use CODE OSERT2021

New Addition to the STEM Community Platform

On August 26, we launched a new page on the STEM Community Platform, the Internship offerings page. This page was created to help connect and communicate with business and education to promote STEM internships. With the addition of this page, students, families, educators and businesses have a one stop place for all STEM internships.
