Friday, August 4th, marked the final of day of Imagine Science’s last Tech-Naturally summer camp. For the past five weeks, Imagine Science has been providing under-represented youth, grades 4-8, in the Omaha Metro Area with the unique opportunity of braving the outdoors using technology to observe and measure the health of the environment. Youth were able to learn about remote sensing using drones, stream health using probes and examining various macro-invertebrates living in campsite streams, investigate the spread of invasive species found in Nebraska through exhilarating games like native/non-native tag (sharks and minnows) and photo bingo, etc.
