In this workshop, we will dissect the new Nebraska College and Career Ready Standards for Science (CCR-Science) adopted in September of 2017.  Specifically, we will focus on Nebraska Connections included in the standards, which aim to provide educators with relevant topics within our state to explore with students.  Using several Nebraska Connections, participants will engage in interactive lessons at Wildlife Safari Park. This workshop is specifically for secondary education teachers.

    Let Omaha's Zoo & Aquarium help you kick off the 2019-2020 school year!  Join us for this mini session to find out What’s New at the Zoo, learn about programs available to you and your students, sample activities, and meet an Animal Ambassador.  We will have snacks and giveaways too!  Cost is $5.

    Omaha Public Schools is going to pair each Business, Marketing, and Information Technology teacher with an industry professional to take part in a half-day job shadow on either August 8 or 9 from 12:30-3:30 p.m. The objective of the day is for teachers to see a professional working environment and to gain knowledge and skills to carry back to their classroom to share with students. This experience will assist teachers in being able to adapt their classroom
    lessons with open ended, problem solving, real world experiences.
